You probably use this iPhone app every day. Now you can do the same thing with your wrist.
You probably utilise Apple gadgets and Google services. For example, you presumably own an iPhone and a Mac, but you use Gmail for email, Chrome for web browsing, and Google Maps for navigation. It’s simply what you know.
Google does not offer many native apps and services for the Watch. Google Maps and YouTube Music have emerged as standouts. Interestingly, Google has added another one this week.
For the first time, Google Calendar gets its own Apple Watch app.
Google Calendar x Apple Watch
The Google Calendar app for your Watch looks and works similarly to the iPhone app, although it has been streamlined.
The Google schedule on your Apple Watch only displays a week’s worth of scheduled events rather than a month’s worth. Each event uses a different colour to make it easier to identify.
When viewing an event, you can see the time and the Google Tasks that have been assigned to it. The day and date of the event are displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen. You may tap into each event to get further information, such as its exact location.
If there is more information to see, the Apple Watch app will prompt you to visit the Google Calendar app on your iPhone to see more.
Furthermore, the Google Calendar app supports two distinct Apple Watch complications. The “What’s next” complication indicates your next appointment, whereas the “Today’s date” complication only shows the day and date, giving you rapid access to your Google Calendar.
You may also integrate Google Calendar into the Apple Watch’s Smart Stack.
How to download
The Google Calendar app for the Apple Watch is now available, but you must download it; it will not appear on your Apple Watch if you already have the Google Calendar app on your iPhone.
You may download the app directly from your Apple Watch by opening the App Store app and searching for “Google Calendar” (in my opinion, this is the simplest option). Alternatively, you can download the app using your iPhone’s Watch app.
