The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition marks both brands’ sixth partnership. The dial sports “iridescent automotive paint, applied using an intricate 14-step process.” It is a limited edition of 188 pieces.
Girard-Perregaux & Aston Martin have launched the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition. It is their sixth collaboration, with a limited edition of 188 pieces.
“The primary concept behind the latest timepiece in our line with Aston Martin was to design something that would combine our various areas of expertise. This is how the idea of making a dial out of automotive-grade paint in an Aston Martin-inspired green color came to fruition. The procedure was time-consuming and intricate, but we are pleased with the outcome.
This clock, with its distinct iridescent color, exemplifies our different industries’ competence in achieving perfection. It’s a fantastic continuation of our cooperation with Aston Martin, which has resulted in five amazing pieces that have evolved concurrently.” – Patrick Pruniaux, CEO, Girard-Perregaux.
“Whether we’re constructing a high-performance, ultra-luxury vehicle or a timepiece with our partner GGirard-Perregaux & Aston Martin, creating a piece of expertise is at the heart of our work and products. An Aston Martin is more than just a car; it’s a representation of one’s individuality and passion, which is frequently shared with the ownership of a watch. – Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin.

“Aston Martin’s historic link with the color green began in 1922, when drivers raced in their country’s colors or for Aston Martin, a color later dubbed British Racing Green. Building on the partnership, Aston Martin now offers customers nine exclusive shades of green within its core colour palette, as well as endless choices through its bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin.”
“The new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition expresses the British marque’s personality with the timepiece’s green dial. In this case, Girard-Perregaux & Aston Martin has reinvented an iridescent shade from Aston Martin’s palette while remaining true to the brand and its racing pedigree. The dial is tinted in a time-consuming, complicated process that requires 14 Manufacturing steps alone.”

“Incorporating green isn’t the only synergy between the brand and its latest wristwatch; the premium watchmaker also uses sophisticated materials familiar to Aston Martin. Grade five titanium, a material used in the manufacture of the marque’s hypercar, Valkyrie, has been used to create the new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition, resulting in a product that combines durability, precision, and comfort – all of which are necessary components when creating a watch that will deliver exceptional performance while remaining wearable. The case and bracelet follow the Laureato tradition, with brushed and polished materials that create an enticing contrast.”
Our thoughts
The main feature of the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is its green dial, which changes according to the angle. The Laureato Chronograph, an excellent integrated bracelet watch, provides the ideal canvas for displaying the intricate process and techniques utilized to produce this automotive paint dial.
The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is the sixth collaboration between the two brands, but it is the first since their cooperation was restored a year ago. For collectors who enjoy both horology and sports vehicles, this watch is an appealing addition to their collection.
