On Saturday evening, Microsoft announced that Microsoft Fixes Global Outage service was restored following an outage that prevented tens of thousands of customers from accessing Outlook email accounts and other apps.
“We’re investigating an issue in which users may be unable to access Outlook features and services,” Microsoft 365 Status, the official Microsoft account for 365 service incidents, wrote on X.
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure were all down as of around 3:30 p.m. ET. According to Downdetector, more than 37,000 people reported an Outlook outage, around 24,000 reported an outage in the tech company’s 365 service, and approximately 150 indicated that their Teams accounts were unavailable.
According to Downdetector, the most concentrated outages occurred in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Users also swamped social media site X, complaining about their inability to access Outlook emails and raising fears of a global Microsoft outage.
Microsoft stated on its service health update website that “everything is up and running.”
In a Microsoft 365 Status update issued on X, the business stated, “it confirmed that service was restored.”
